Last updated August 2026

Splitr is a platform where music producers and engineers work with artists — licensing beats, taking mixing and mastering work, and recording the splits and credits that come out of it. This page explains what we collect and why. It is written plainly on purpose.

What we collect

Who can see your files

Files you send for a job are private. They are stored in restricted storage and are readable only by you and the engineer working on that job. Splitr staff can access them only where necessary to run the service or resolve a dispute.

Before/after demo clips are the exception. Those are marketing material on a public profile — anyone with the link can play them, and that is the point of them. Do not upload unreleased client material as a demo clip unless the artist is happy for it to be public.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that make Splitr work:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is needed to investigate fraud or a violation of our terms.

What is public

Your profile page, display name, bio, listed services and prices, demo clips, and any verified credits are public — that is what a profile is for. Your email address, uploaded stems, agreements and payment details are not.

Keeping it

Agreements, splits and credits are kept indefinitely. They are the record of who is owed what, and deleting them would defeat the purpose of the platform. Other data is kept while your account is open. You can ask us to delete your account and we will, except for records we are required to keep or that another person has a legitimate interest in — a signed agreement naming them, for instance.

Your choices

You can edit or remove your profile, services and demo clips at any time from your settings. To request a copy of your data or ask for deletion, email us at the address below.

Age

Splitr is not intended for anyone under 13, and if you are under 18 you should have a parent or guardian review any agreement before you sign it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change matters, tell you by email.
